Car Parking

Getting around the city centre and the university by car is allowed but not usually recommended. Students and visitors are often advised to use public transport instead because the traffic conditions in city are always congested. Parking in the university campus and in the city centre is usually difficult because there are very limited spaces. There are no available public parking facilities at the Senate House, but visitors can try getting parking spaces at nearby establishments, particularly Woburn Place and Bloomsbury Place.

Visitors who still want to use their cars should allot plenty of time for travel. To save time in getting to the campus, they can go through Malet Street, Russell Square, and Montague Place. However, there are very limited parking spaces in the campus.

Travel by Trains and Rail

The entire city of London is well served by underground train and tube services. The underground stations nearest to the university include Russell Square served by the Piccadilly Line; Goodge Street served by the Northern Line; Tottenham Court Road served by the Northern Line and Central Line; Euston Square served by the Metropolitan Line, Circle Line, and City Line; and Euston served by the Northern Line and Victoria Line. These stations are all within walking distance to the university.

Travel by Buses and Coach

Bus services leading to the university are available. From Gower Street or Tottenham Court Road, visitors can catch the buses with service numbers 10, 24, 29, 73, or 134. From Russell Square, they can board the bus numbers 7 or 188.

Travel by Taxi

The university is accessible from anywhere in the city centre by taxi. Getting to the university can take about 20 minutes, depending on the traffic situation. Taking the taxi is more practical than taking the car since there are very limited parking spaces in the campus.
